Laura Bohn

Soprano Laura Bohn is making her mark as a formidable and dynamic vocal presence on international stages. The 2015 season includes featured performances at Operadagen Rotterdam with the Hague Philharmonic, with the Grand Harmonie orchestra in Princeton and Boston, and the SacroProfano Baroque ensemble in their New York debut.  Role debuts this season include Ino in Handel's Semele, Marzelline in Fidelio in the first US production on period instruments and JFK's mistress Mary Pinchot Meyer in the premiere of LSD: The Opera by Anne LeBaron at REDCAT.  Previous highlights include the premiere of DJ Moz'art a dance opera which toured northern Europe with over 40 performances in 2014, Nerone in MonteverdISH an adaptation ofL'incoronazione di Poppea touring Europe in 2013 and 2011.  Other roles include the Governess in Britten's The Turn of the Screw at West Edge Opera, the lead role in Certitude and Joy by American composer Erling Wold, Bessie in Mahagonny Songspiel, Fiordiligi, Juliette, Musetta and Rosalinda. She has premiered works at The Holland Festival in Amsterdam, the UN Assembly Hall in New York and was guest soloist on a national tour of the Netherlands with the Ricciotti Orchestra.
